The short answer
Building a prefab pool goes through a site visit, a written quote, the engineer's paperwork, digging, setting up the walls, pipework, the floor, the membrane, filling and handover. Work on the plot takes a few weeks.
1. Site visit
We come to the plot. We measure, take photos, look at the ground, the access, where the electrical panel and water supply are. We talk about what you want and how you will use the pool. We bring membrane samples.
2. Quote and drawing
Within a few days we send a written quote with a drawing of the pool and every job listed. If you want changes, we redo it.
3. Paperwork
The engineer files the small-scale works approval. We provide all the drawings they need.
4. Digging
We mark the pool on the ground and dig a pit slightly larger than the pool, to fit the braces. Surplus soil leaves or is spread in the garden, as agreed.
5. Walls and ring
We bolt the steel walls together, level them and support them with braces. We pour a concrete ring round the base, which locks the structure.

6. Pipework and plant room
We connect skimmers, inlets, lights and the main drain to the plant room. We pressure-test the pipes before covering them.
7. Floor and membrane
We screed the floor, smooth and with its falls. We lay a geotextile and then the membrane, which we heat-weld. We check every seam.

8. Filling, surround, handover
We fill the pool while backfilling the space behind the walls. We fit the coping, set up the equipment and show you how everything works.
From our experienceIn the first week after handover we call to check that all is well. Most questions come up then, and it is better to answer them straight away.
